Maxis Secretly Offering Maxis Retention Program. You May Want To Call Maxis Before Porting Out

Maxis has been losing quite a lot subscribers due to telco postpaid's price war like U Mobile Hero Plan, Celcom First Gold & DiGi SmartPlan 75 by offering unlimited calls, huge data and some other services.

There were no reaction from Maxis till few days ago where Maxis offered MaxisONE plans 68 and offers 5GB internet data, unlimited calls & SMS but............ it only applicable for Maxis East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak). Probably this is how Maxis would want to have customer base retention in East Malaysia. This offers actually make a lot loyal Maxis subscribers based in West Malaysia upset and fury for not offering it to them.

In West Malaysia, MaxisONE Plan that offered the same package is MaxisONE Plan 158 where they are required to pay extra RM 90.

Some of the Maxis subscribers in West Malaysia who are on MaxisONE Plan would consider to jumpship anytime to others telco. Before you doing so, you may want to contact Maxis for some counter offers.

Here are some information that received from some Maxis's loyal subscribers where they being countered offer with some unbeatable plans.

• MaxisONE Plan 158 (5GB + Unlimited Calls & SMS) - RM 68 without contract
• MaxisONE Plan 188 (7GB + Unlimited Calls & SMS) - RM 88 without contract

What they actually did was contact Maxis helpline and ask for porting out. They would redirect you another department "Maxis Rescue Team" to counter offer you.

Do take note, the offers may not available to all Maxis subscribers. Maxis may have their own guideline like how long you have been with Maxis and plan that you subscribed now. So if you have been with Maxis for more than 5 years and your current plan is above RM 150, maybe you can give it a try.

    1. Well said.
Maxis might be thinking for those who are quick to switch might not be the 'loyal' customer. Guess what, rules has changed and I think by the time Maxis realize they are losing way too many subscribers, they will abandon the rules and guidelines

  6. Tell you guys a magic trick if you want to receive the secret offer. Just port out to any others telco then they will call and offering you. Remember you have to port out first. I did it, when I port over to Celcom first gold and they offer me. I rejected as I loyal to Maxis for so long, but I get nothing. Why wanna pay higher when the others offer better? Currently happily with my Celcom line every following month can get rebate plus there is no contract. I am a free bird right now.

  7. Not the latest news d, they are going with this kind of secret offer for nearly a month ago. At fb page is full of the secret plan msg screen shoot. Totally unfair for those loyal users who still want to stay with them. They should offer the secret plan for all not for those unloyal member who want to port out. Port to Celcom better. 10gb = rm80 vs 1gb = rm98. Simple maths

  8. Maxis user using surfmore 50 for less than a year. Went to DiGi to initiate port out and waited for a counter offer. True enough they countered and I took the maxis one plan 188 with rm100 rebate.

This plan only last 24 mths, no contract but if you decide to change the plan or port out, you will not get the same rates any longer. To add sweetener, I got additional 1gb for first 6 months upon plan update.

  10. After using Maxis for three years, i switch over to Celcom, and then the Maxis so called "loyalty department" call to offer me rm60/5Gb with unlimited call and sms. And told me that you are with Maxis for long time without changing any line, so they want offer me better rewards plan. What is the point of doing so, if Maxis really care about their customer, please make their data plan even more affordable.Try this way to pull back their customer? And only for the customer who going to change the data plan over their competitor? They seriously have marketing problem.

  15. I live in Cyber & my address is in Selangor. Last week went to Celcom to port my Maxis to Celcom and this morning received an SMS to porting out & I reply YES. A few hour Maxis call me and offered plan RM68 where I got 5GB, unlimited call/sms, free data when using sosial apps like fb/whatapp/wechat.
I guess we have to do it before maxis come and offer some good plan to us. And yes I accept they offer since it good!

  18. the problem is that the monthly commitment fees is different from the bills given every month, which mean that there is always too much extra unknown charges on maxis bill, that is one of the main problem that I have ever met.

  19. Nope, my friend offered by Maxis with "MaxisONE plans 68" to stay with them after he went to digi centre applied to switch telco, and he is from West Malaysia.

  20. Just call Maxis, asking about the penalty need to pay and port out.Maxis just say go to any Maxis store pay off all the amount I own him. And I can go already. Maxisalready loyal for 15 years this is what I get.

  21. It's not about rescue plan or counter offer. This was blow up when some user notice that there is cheaper and better plan compared to the current one. This is all about transparency. Maxis didn't have that. Any company or Country without transparency, sooner or later... the user or the people will suffer. Cash is King. lol

  22. I'm using Maxis One Share n home fibre for quite sometimes,128+48. Planning to port out to celcom frist gold since its only 80 now. As I'm wondering am I still tied up with contract, I call up maxis hotline to check. The lady told me I was not tied with any contract both for my mobile, supp line n broadband. If I wanna terminate I can just walk in to any maxis center with my IC. I've asked her several times to confirm that I'm not under any contract, she politely repeated herself few times. Yesterday I tried chatting with their online customers service, I was asking whether or not they have any special plans behind the door as I'm planning to port out to celcom. As expected the online Web chat agent then told me I'm still tied to contract, both my mobile n broadband. If I decided to port out now, I have to pay the penalty. =_=¡ As for the special plans, he said there's no such thing as special offer or plans. Management is now taking action towards the news that went viral. He said it is a scam. No such plans offered to anyone in maxis. I didn't continue much, I said thank you n ended the chat.

One thing that is bothering me to port out. Celcom don't have unlimited call plans for supplementary lines. Really hope either maxis will reduce the mthly fee to all subscriber or celcom come up with plans like Maxis One Share.
