Huawei announced the updates of improved EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat to more Huawei device starting from today. The full list of devices that will be receiving the updates are;

• Huawei P9
• Huawei P9 Plus
• Huawei P9 lite
• Huawei Mate 8
• Huawei Nova Plus

The update will be rolled out in batches so don't worry if you didn't receive the update despite you are using the device mentioned above.

The EMUI comes with the Machine Learning Algorithm that studies your usage habits and optimizes the phone's processing priorities to suit your style of use, ultimately creating a device that is always trying to stay fast and responsive.

It also embodies a minimalistic design concept for a smoother smartphone experience.

  1. I'll believe it when I see it for the P9 in the UK. There's been zero updates, zero news but loads of falsely created rumours presumably from the far east somewhere not too far from Huawei. Basically it isn't available here, won't be for the forseeable future. Android updates are just a disgrace. I'm seriously thinking of switching to Apple as Android backups are in just as bad a state, I mean you can't even fully back up your phone without rooting it. What a joke of a platform. Maybe next year we'll get Nougate but for now I would advise everyone to ignore the vendors lies and spin.
